Juniors! Are you interested in helping organize Prom this year? We will be hosting our first Prom Committee meeting of the year TODAY at 2:50 in Ms. Gallelo’s room, C-135 to begin the planning process. If you’re interested in throwing the best Prom ever, please join us. Don’t just talk about it, join us and have a critical role in planning an event you will remember forever! PROMise is back again to host their 8th annual prom gown giveaway at Parkside High School in Salisbury. The PROMise Project is a non-profit organization that provides dresses for girls across the Eastern Shore. This event will feature more than one thousand prom gowns ranging in sizes 0 to 26.

All gowns have been donated to the non-profit organization throughout the years by various local retail shops. The event is free and open to all Delmarva high school students. Students must present a valid high school ID for admittance to the event. The event will start at 10:00 am and will end at 2:00 pm. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Johnson in room C-129.

There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting TOMORROW at 7:10 am in Mr. Drahiem’s room, D-156. See Ms. Fluty or Mrs. Fenzel-Mergott if you have any questions. All are welcome!

Art Club is cancelled for TOMORROW, January 12th. We will meet again on Thursday January 19th. Please see Mrs. Fardelmann if you have any questions.

Decatur Nation! The end of the semester is approaching! Schedule an appointment with the Seahawk Writing Center to obtain assistance with your essays and other written work! Scan the QR code around the school to schedule a half-hour session with a writing tutor. End the semester on a high note! 30 minutes can change your tune, and grade!

For Sports:

Congratulations to the Varsity Women’s Basketball team for a great team-effort win against Mardela yesterday with a final score of 59 to 2. The Lady Seahawks return home tomorrow to take on their biggest rivals, the Parkside Rams. The two undefeated squads will battle it out to determine which team goes home ranked number one in the Bayside South. Come support the Seahawks in their most important game of the season so far. Let’s pack the Hawk’s Nest Thursday night!
