Today Celebrates: Compliment Day and Global Belly Laugh Day!

Lunch for today includes: Mickey’s Cheese Pizza, Hot Dog on Bun, Applesauce, Fresh Fruit, Steamed Corn, Steamed Green Beans, and Milk.

Members of Spinebreakers! We will be reading to page 205 in the novel Feed by M.T. Anderson. Therefore, we will be discussing up to part four in the novel during our gathering next Monday. Please see Mr. Thompson with any questions.

Interested in the medical field? Want to learn more about the different careers in medicine and how to get there? Then consider attending Math Club’s Medical Field speaking event on Thursday, February 9th! Guests include Dr. Gerard Gioia, who is the Division Chief of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Hospital and the Principal Investigator of many CDC-funded research studies on pediatric concussions. Decatur Nation! If you enjoy eating your lunch in the media center, be advised that some changes are coming to the sign-up process (Roll Library Lunch PSA 0:50). Again, beginning next semester, students MUST sign up for lunch in the media center the week prior. If you do not sign up, you will need to eat in the cafeteria. Please see Mrs. Tignor with any questions.

The Decatur Film Society will meet TODAY to view the film The Truman Show starring Jim Carey. Anyone can join, just please make sure you sign up for the After School Academy using the QR code posted around school. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.

There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting this Thursday in D-151 at 7:15, Mr. Drahiem’s room. See Ms. Fluty or Mrs. Fenzel-Mergott if you have any questions. All are welcome.

Congratulations to the Girls JV Basketball team on another big win over Washington by the score of 35 to 19. The team was led by Brooke Berquist’s 8 points with Ava Konyar and Mackenzie Chmar chipping in 6 points each!

Congratulations to the Girls’ Varsity Basketball team for defeating Washington 72 to 37. The Seahawk offense was led by senior captain Mayah Garner’s 22 points, sophomore Allison Swift’s 16 points, and freshman Jozlyn Tyre’s 10 points. Way to go Seahawks!
