Did you know that students who are feeling stressed, sad, or even thinking about suicide are very likely to tell a friend or teacher? If someone shares with you that they are very sad, having a hard time and/or feel like they want to die, the most important thing you can do is take their feelings seriously, listen without judgment, and help them get to a trusted adult for more support. Remember, your mental health matters!

Educator’s Rising/FEA hopes that all the teachers have had a fabulous Teacher Appreciation Week. Today is our final Mystery Teacher Challenge! First… let’s reveal the answers to yesterday’s questions:

Mrs. Kerchner was able to attend a World Series Game! She says the experience was epic! Her team won the game. The energy in the stadium was insane and it was probably one of the most memorable experiences of her life.

Mrs. Wieland has four children, but has only been pregnant twice!! Holy Triplets Batman.

Mr. Martinek has been to 15 rap concerts and his mother was in a motorcycle gang!

Mrs. McCann’s modeling picture was published in a magazine. The picture was even in one of the Decatur yearbooks. She was the owner of a hedgehog. She has danced in live stage productions, and even jumped from a cliff with a rope swing into an icy mountain stream!

And last but not least, Mr. Dj Thompson sang the National Anthem for the Governor of Maryland in 2005!

For today’s mystery….

Which SDHS teacher was captain of the cheerleading squad in high school and has his or her own open water diver license?

Which SDHS teacher ran soccer camps with Pele in the Cayman Islands and played against the Cayman National team?

Which SDHS teacher has been a mate on the Explorer, the Sea Rocket, the Judith M, and the Tortuga?

Which SDHS teacher climbed over a safety railing at the Cliffs of Mother while visiting Ireland and risked falling 100s of feet into the Atlantic Ocean?

And….. Which SDHS teacher has tried out for Jeopardy many times… but still hasn’t made it on the show?

And now onto Today’s Sports:
