Today Celebrates: Let’s Laugh Day, Tea for Two Tuesday, World Agriculture Day, and The First Day of Spring!

Lunch for today includes: Scrambled Eggs and Beacon With Buttermilk Biscuit, Popcorn Chicken With Roll, Hash Brown Rounds, Steamed Brussel Sprouts, Diced Pears, Fresh Fruit, and Milk.

Seniors! Save the Date! On Tuesday, April 9th, Lifetouch will be here to capture the senior class Panoramic photo, the photo of your entire class, at 8:05 a.m. in the gym. Tech buses will be held briefly for this photo, so make sure you arrive on time! Seniors will be called down, and the photo will only take a few minutes. If you are late and miss it, then you miss it. Senior Panoramic Photo on Tuesday, April 9th at 8:05 a.m.

Good morning, future teachers! We’re excited to remind you about our upcoming field trip to Buckingham Elementary School this Friday. Please make sure to hand in your permission slips to Mrs. Stevenson or Mrs. Cosgrove by Wednesday, March 20th, that’s TOMORROW. If you don’t, you won’t be able to join us on this awesome opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life. Also, if you’re a former student of Buckingham Elementary, we’d love for you to come back and help out by reading with the students. Please see either Mrs. Stevenson or Mrs. Cosgrove to get a permission slip and join us on this meaningful adventure. We can’t wait to have you on board!

Any Junior interested in helping organize prom this year, we will have a meeting TOMORROW at 2:45 in Ms. Gallelo’s room, C-135. Again Prom Planning Committee meeting Wednesday at 2:45 in Ms. Gallelo’s room C-135. See Mr. Greenwood or Ms. Gallelo with any questions.

The Decatur Film Society will meet after school today to discuss the film Hereditary. Remember, no after school transportation will be provided. If you have any questions, see Mr. Thompson

The Spring Session of the After School Academy begins next week. Given the spring break, after school will only meet on Monday and Tuesday next week. Anyone interested in joining an enrichment or tutorial program, must sign up using the QR code posted on the flyer, or on the school website. After School Academy Spring Session, begins next week.

Stephen Decatur Cheer is back again with their annual fundraiser “Egg My Yard”. If you would like to surprise your kids, neighbors, and/or friends with some easter fun, then let the Cheerleaders deliver candy filled eggs! You can choose from four different egg packages and to have your eggs delivered to your porch or scattered in the yard. Scan the QR code on the flyers or outside of Miss. Johnson classroom C129 to fill out the google doc form. Payment is by cash or check only and checks should be made payable to Stephen Decatur High School. If paying with cash, please give it to Miss. Johnson in an envelope with your name. The last day to order is TOMORROW, March 20th!

Decatur Nation! Want to win a basket filled with gift cards and other prizes? The National English Honor Society is holding a Bunny Bonus Basket drawing on Tuesday, March 26th. How do you enter your name for the drawing? Purchase a candy filled egg, for one dollar each, during all lunch shifts every day until Monday, March 25th. Each egg has a sweet treat and also a raffle ticket which will be used for the drawing. The more eggs you buy, the more chances you have of winning the prize basket worth over one hundred and fifty dollars!

Looking for a summer job? Do you like having your own money? Attend the job fair on Thursday, April 4th from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm in the gym. Dress to impress, bring a resume but not required.

Decatur is sponsoring a school-wide beach supply drive benefiting Believe in Tomorrow, an organization that treats children stricken will illness to a stress-free vacation at the beach. Bring in beach shovels, playing cards, sunscreen, coloring books, beach toys and more. Collection boxes are in the main office, the CRT Office, and Mrs. Thompson’s room A168. Let’s show them “there’s no place like the beach!”
