“American Horror Story” (AHS), is an anthology horror television series, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Having written and produced well known shows like, “Glee” and “Scream Queens,” “American Horror Story” has lived up to its name as the tenth season approaches. It is not like any regular television show though, as it is an anthology series, this means it changes its theme every season. From a witch coven to a haunted hotel, every season brings an unexpected twist that fans crave. The show’s leading actors and fan favorites over the years have included, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Billie LourdLeslie Grossman, and many more. The show uses most of the same cast for each season, but the catch is, fans do not know the theme until the night the new season premieres

After a highly anticipated season nine, which included a haunted summer camp based in 1984, season ten is set to bring in the same, if not more ratings. This past week, Murphy dropped a big hint about the upcoming season, the full cast list along with the season’s opening credits. With top actors, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson being seen on this list, fans exploded with excitement as the two front-runners missed last season. With other actors like Bates, Rabe, Lourd, and Grossman all returning, fans were not too happy to see the show’s well known “Queen Bee,” Roberts, sitting this season out. In addition to this, the show added newcomer, Macaulay Culkin, who is known for his role as Kevin, in “Home Alone.”

The opening credits shows a beach with waves crashing and fans have hit the internet with theories of what this season could be about. According to Polygon, they stated in an article, “…the gray ocean waves could point to something nautical,” which could mean something to do with sailors or boats. Murphy released a quote back in 2019 while “American Horror Story: 1984” was on TV, saying that in the eightepisode of the season there would be a clue to season ten’s theme and fans have come up with the idea of space and aliens. Following this, according to, Digital Spy, Murphy said in an interview, “…we flirted with aliens, we flirted with space, we flirted with things more interesting than others. Sophomore Bailey Pusey is a big fan of the show saying, “…I’m really excited for the new season of AHS. I really enjoyed watching all the other seasons like 1984 and Murder House. I hope Evan Peters has a big role in the upcoming season and I’m really looking forward to it.”

If there is anything we know about “American Horror Story”, it is anything is possible. With past seasons being about the lost colony of Roanoke to a deadly cult to an apocalypse, there is no telling what this upcoming season could be. “American Horror Story” season ten does not have set premiere date, but it is expected to premiere sometime around September 2020, with more clues on the way.
