Today Celebrates: Old Stuff Day!

Lunch for today includes: Mini Cheese Calzones with Marinara Dipping Sauce, Baked Chicken Nuggets, Baked Sweet Potato Rounds, Steamed Broccoli, Chilled Pears, Roll, and Milk.

Media expo entries and judging sheets may be picked up in the Media Center.

Lieutenant Commander Stewart wants to say thanks to all the administrators and faculty members who helped to make Friday’s Helo event a success! Bravo Zulu to you all!!!

Save the date Seniors! Next Monday, March 9th, Lifetouch will be here to capture Cap and Gown Pictures. Appointment times have been mailed home, and a full list of appointments is posted outside the media center and the DNN Studio. Please see Mr. Thompson with any questions.

Do you like pizza and pie? Then come to the Pi Day celebration on March 10th starting at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. It’s only one dollar to enter. Sign up for team and individual pie eating contests outside of room A129, Mrs. Ebelein’s room. Its $20 per team of four and $5 per individual. There will be food games, and you could be the one to pie an administrator.

Attention Singers! Worcester County Public schools is looking for talented vocalists to be featured at the Teacher of the Year Gala on March 27th! Auditions are open to any soloist or small groups less than 5. Please see a flyer outside the DNN studio to register.

Decatur Nation! All this week, we will be participating in the Sandy Hook Promise of Say Something Week. Make sure you stop by the table in the cafeteria to sign a pledge card, a signed card enters you in a drawing for a prize. Additionally, we will have some fun activities throughout the week. Hungry for some Chipotle? Support the Decatur Relay For Life Team by eating at Chipotle in West Ocean City on Tuesday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Eat some delicious food while helping the fight against cancer!

Seniors! It’s that time of year when we begin collecting baby pictures for the graduation video. Please email photos to [email protected] with your name in the subject line, or drop off hard copies to the DNN studio with your name on the back. These photos will be scanned and returned to you. For Sports:

Congratulations to the wrestling team which broke more school records this weekend. In the first girls regional wrestling championship in Maryland history – Mia Stubblebine and Jenna Danner advanced to girls wrestling states.

The boys advanced 11 of the 14 weight classes to the state tournament – also a school record. Dj Taylor and Logan Intrieri took 4th place. Alex Koulikov and Kyle Elliott took 2nd. Stephen Decatur had 7 regional champions – they were Shamar Baines, Jagger Clapsadle, Nico D’Amico, Noah Reho, James Parana, Micah Bourne, and Johnny Hofman. Good luck at states this weekend!
