The Big Mac Salad is quick and easy Keto recipe.

The ketogenic diet, commonly known as the keto diet, is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used mainly to treat hard to control epilepsy in children. Many people also use this diet to lose weight and eat healthier. The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Contradicting the negative diet culture, the keto diet has many fun and delicious recipes many people enjoy. Here are a few recipes that have become quite popular.

The Keto Big Mac Salad:

Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 10 minutes, Total time: 25 minutes, Serving:4

Ingredients:

Big Mac Sauce

  • ¾ cup of mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons of prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of swerve
  • ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika

Salad

  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black peppers
  • 4 cups of chopped iceberg lettuce
  • ½ cup of sliced onions cut in half
  • 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 fourth cup of dill pickles

Instructions:

  • For making the dressing you need to mix mayo, diced pickles, mustard, vinegar, onion, paprika and swerve. Set aside while you get the other ingredients together.
  • Heat a 10-inch sauté pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef, smash it to break up the clumps, and cook until it is almost cooked through. Add salt and pepper and finish cooking it all the way.
  • While the ground beef is browning, chop lettuce. Slice onions and then cut into half. Roughly chop the pickles next.
  • When you are ready to serve the salad, mix the lettuce, onions, pickles and cheese. Put into four bowls. Add a fourth of the ground beef mixture into each bowl. Drizzle with dressing and serve immediately.

Keto Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole:

Prep time: 10 minutes, Cook time: 35 minutes, Total time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 3 Bacon
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of Mayo
  • Ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 teaspoons of Parsley

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Prepare a nine by thirteen casserole dish by spraying with nonstick cooking spray
  • In a large bowl add cream cheese, sour cream, mayo and packet of ranch seasoning and mix
  • Add chicken and bacon to the bowl and mix together well
  • Add mixture into the casserole dish and top with shredded cheese and remaining amount of bacon
  • Bake for 35 minutes
  • Garnish with parsley and serve

Low- Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole:

Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 15 minutes, Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 cup of chopped onions
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-2 tablespoons of mustard
  • ½ cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of white cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of burger seasoning
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 1 kosher pickle, cut into pieces

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Place the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic, onions, burger seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. Using a spatula, break the ground beef into chunks.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and cream cheese. Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink and the cream cheese has melted
  • Remove the skillet from heat
  • In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, half cup of shredded cheese, half cup of shredded white cheddar cheese, heavy cream and mustard
  • Spray an eight by eleven or nine by nine baking dish with oil or cooking spray. Pour the ground beef mixture into the dish. Sprinkle the bacon and sliced pickles throughout
  • Drizzle the liquid mixture on top
  • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheese and half cup of shredded white cheddar cheese on top
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble
  • Cool before serving
