For Sports:
Congrats to the JV Girls basketball team on their win over Parkside by the score of 57 to 6. The team was led by Lotus Wise’s 12 points and 11 rebounds, Brooke Berquist chipped in with 10 points, Liz Parsells added 8 points, and Ava Konyar 6 points. Way to go team!
Congratulations to the Varsity Women’s Basketball team for preserving a perfect 10 and 0 season record and securing the number one ranking in the Bayside South with last night’s 44 to 40 victory over Parkside. The entire team battled with tough defense, and senior captain Mayah Garner scored 13 points with strong play under the hoop.
But a special shout out has to go to senior captain Shelby Rosemond who, not only locked down Parkside’s leading scorer for the duration of the game, but scored the game winning three-pointer with 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Rosemond then sealed the victory with two free throws. Thank you to all the fans who packed the Hawks’ Nest to support the team. Way to go Seahawks!
