Lunch for today includes: Chicken Tenders with Roll, Nachos With Beef Filling with Salsa Dipping Cup, Steamed Turnip Greens, Steamed Mixed Vegetables, Mandarin Oranges, Fresh Fruit, and Milk.
SENIORS! The deadline to order your cap and gown has passed! If you have not ordered your cap and gown, you MUST see Mrs. Garton IMMEDIATELY!
Class of 2023! DNN will be collecting baby photos for the graduation video from now until May 19th. Please submit ONE baby photo to [email protected] between now and May 19th. Make sure you include your first AND last name in the subject line. Spend your upcoming spring break looking for those adorable infant and toddler photos and email them in! You will receive a reply email confirming your submission. If you have a hard copy of a photo, you can bring it in to Mr. Thompson to be scanned and returned, just make sure your full name is written on the back of the photo.
Additionally, the Seahawk yearbook will collect senior quotes beginning on Wednesday, April 12th until Friday, April 21st. NO quotes will be accepted before the 12th OR after the 21st. ALL quotes must be submitted through the Microsoft form that will be posted on the DNN Senior News course on Schoology.
Decatur Nation! April is Poetry Month and the National English Honor Society has a challenge for you! Share you poetry with us by dropping a poem, or two, or five, into the Poetry Bucket in the media center. Poems will be randomly drawn from the bin and read on the morning announcements. If your poem is chosen, you will win a gift certificate to a local business! The top gift card is valued at fifty dollars, so get writing, write now!
Now is your chance to get some writing support. Every Tuesday through Thursday, writing tutoring will be available to students in Mrs. Tracy’s room, A-118, from 7:15 until 8:00 a.m. Be sure to bring your writing assignment, expectations, and or required rubrics. All academic writing will be targeted.
Decatur Nation! The Prom Committee is hosting a fundraiser with Sandals Formal Wear. Sandals will be at school during all lunch shifts TODAY and tomorrow to take measurements for tuxes in the faculty room. If interested, students will need to complete a form that can be obtained from the main office or Ms. Galello beforehand, or from Sandals representatives the day of. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Galello or Mr. Greenwood.

For Sports:
There will be an open gym for basketball today beginning at 5:30 and running until 7:00 pm. You must leave the school at 2:40 and return 10 minutes before Open Gym. All are welcome and the fee is $2.00.
