Attention All students: Our WeXL Banquet is back. This banquet awards students who have made honor for the first 3 quarters of the school year. There are lists posted by the media center and cafeteria. Please check the list and pick up your invitation from guidance. The RSVP is due on Wednesday April 25th. Turn them in ASAP if you plan to attend!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Prom Tickets are now on sale! Tickets can be purchased after school today from 2:40 until 3:15, as well as tomorrow from 7:30 until 8:00 and again from 2:40 until 3:15. All tickets sales are cash only and will be sold in front of the indoor concession stand. To purchase tickets you must be clear of all school and media center debts prior to purchasing your ticket or tickets. Remember only Juniors and Seniors can purchase prom tickets. Debt Clearance forms can be found in the main office and the media center.
All SDHS prom guests, regardless of grade, must have a form completed by the media center staff and the front office secretaries, again prior to ticket purchase. All NON SDHS prom guests must have a guest form completed and submitted to their grade level administrator prior to ticket purchase. Juniors and Seniors should watch your schoology inbox for “Song Request Week” information. Lastly, prom King and Queen nominations are now open to all seniors through schoology. Nominations will only be open for a limited time. See Mr. Greenwood or Ms. Gallelo with questions.
SENIORS! The Seahawk yearbook is NOW collecting senior quotes until THIS Friday, April 21st. NO quotes will be accepted after the 21st. ALL quotes must be submitted through the Microsoft form that is posted on the DNN Senior News course on Schoology.
This is a friendly reminder that Presidential Service Awards tracking forms are due to Mrs. Chetelat on Monday, April 24 by 3:00 pm. No late forms will be accepted. No exceptions!
There will be no Art Club this Thursday, April 20th. We will meet again on Thursday, April 27th. Please see Mrs. Fardelmann if you have any questions.
Looking for a summer job? Do you like having your own money? Attend the job fair on Thursday, April 27th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in the gymnasium. Every class will be attending the job fair. Dress to impress, bring a resume but not required. YES YOU! Go to the job fair!
For Sports:
Do you want to become a Decatur cheerleader? Come out to our Decatur Cheer Clinic on June 10 starting at 9:00 am and running until 4:00 pm. You will learn and work on Stunting, Jumps, Tumbling, Cheer, and Dance. The cheer clinic is for any current and future seahawk cheerleader, ages from 5 years old to 18 years old. The registration fee is $30 for SDHS students and $45 for non-students. If you have any questions, please see Coach Johnson in C129.
Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team for picking up a victory against Easton with a score of 19 to 6. Eleven different Seahawks netted goals to contribute to the offensive effort. The girls return to the Hawk’s Nest tomorrow night to battle Kent Island.
