Thank you to all those who have dropped a poem into the Poetry Month bucket in the media center. Our fifth and final winner this month is Summer Brenner, with her poem “Untitled”.

“For under pressure she was a diamond, – will she again be coal when the pressure is no more? – Or will her whole life be a weight – upon her shoulders, – crystalizing her into something perfect – and will she seek the pressure, as it’s all – she’s ever known – so when she grows old, – and the pressure starts to fade – tired and retired, she will think of her past days – and look into the mirror and believe that – she’s just as she was before – relaxed and lacking luster, and ugly lump of coal.”

Congratulations again Summer, please see Mr. Thompson after the announcements to collect your gift card prize.
