Seniors, you have a lot of information coming to you this week, so please take the time to listen, check schoology, and ask questions. First off, please check Schoology and complete the survey regarding the Senior Breakfast and BIS Stroll by this Wednesday, May 17th. Administration would like a head count in regard to food and Buses! Please note, this is a different survey than the one guidance sent out… so you have two surveys to complete on schoology.

Additionally seniors, guidance has posted the names of the students who are invited to the School Based Senior Awards night this Tuesday, May 16th. Please check the list, if your name is on there, stop by the guidance office and pick up your invitation! There will be a separate list posted at a different time for the Community Senior Night Award Invites.

Good News Seniors! As time winds down, please be sure to turn in your textbooks, devices, uniforms, and/or any other items that are due to the school, your teachers or coaches. A debt list will be created by the end of the week and your diploma will be held if your name is listed on it. See Mr. Berquist starting Friday to make sure that you are in the clear. If you no longer need your iPad, early collection is NOW OPEN! Please bring all tech items to the media center to get checked off.

And finally seniors! Your baby/toddler photos are needed! You have 5 days to get them in or you WILL NOT appear in the pre-graduation video! Submit ONE baby photo to [email protected] by THIS FRIDAY. Make sure you include your first AND last name in the subject line. You will receive a reply email confirming your submission. If you have a hard copy of a photo, you can bring it in to Mr. Thompson to be scanned and returned, just make sure your full name is written on the back of the photo.

Although Teacher Appreciation week is technically over- we never stop appreciating our teachers here at SDHS. And it is safe to say, we have some teachers who have led very interesting lives indeed! The final answers to our mystery questions are…

Mrs. Luckett was captain of the cheerleading squad in high school and has his or her own open water diver license.

Mrs. Misty Bunting ran soccer camps with Pele in the Cayman Islands and played against the Cayman National team.

Mrs. Wells has been a mate on the Explorer, the Sea Rocket, the Judith M, and the Tortuga.

Mrs. Santore-Schwartz climbed over a safety railing at the Cliffs of Moher while visiting Ireland and risked falling 100s of feet into the Atlantic Ocean.

And….. Mrs. Tignor teacher has tried out for Jeopardy many times… but still hasn’t made it on the show.

FEA would also like to send a special shout out to Mrs. Zervakos and Mrs. Santore-Schwartz for being nominated as Costal Style’s Best Teachers of 2023!!
