Today Celebrates: Don’t Fry Friday, National Escargot Day, and International Tiara Day!

Lunch for today includes: Mickey’s Cheese Pizza, Quesadilla, Oven Baked Crinkle Fries, Vegetarian Baked Beans, Diced Pears, Fresh Fruit, and Milk.

First semester marching band students, it’s finally Friday and that means you have rehearsal 5th period TODAY. That’s right the Memorial Day parade is coming up this LONG weekend. That means we’ve got memorial day parade practice today during Mr Foell’s 5th period band class. Teachers there was a memo placed in your mailbox of who will be attending today’s rehearsal. Friday’s practice includes all first semester color guard and instrumentalists, so again, plan on being in the band room 5th period TODAY. See You soon!

Attention those who are registered to take the June 1st SAT here at SDHS, please remember the following:  Doors open at 7:30 and testing will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00 AM. If you are late you will not be admitted to test. YOU MUST bring a VALID ID, if you do not have a license, a current school ID is fine. If you show up without an ID, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO TEST! You MUST bring your IPAD charged! Charging chords are limited. Your ID and testing ticket must match EXACTLY. If your name is misspelled or missing a hyphen or apostrophe you will not be permitted to test. Lastly, if your birthdate is incorrect, you will NOT be permitted to test. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Candeloro in D149.

Did you know that Decatur has our own Literary Magazine? Well, we do, and it showcases stories, poems, and artwork from our very own students! Best yet, you can submit artwork for this years publication! If interested in submitting artwork and photography, scan the QR code in the main hallway, outside Poe Place or the media center. Attention rising seniors, that’s you juniors. There will be a Homecoming Dance Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 4th in the DNN studio. This is the first time we will be forming a Homecoming Dance Committee and your input is wanted and needed. Any member of the class of 2025 is welcome to attend.
