Decatur Writers! Congratulations to the winners of the 2024 NEHS sponsored Peggy Hevel Memorial Writing Contest. Without further ado, the winners for the poetry category are.. in third place, Adelaide Dawkins; in second place, Samantha Allen, and first place for poetry goes to Sauna Vick!
The winner for the short story category are… in third place, Kegan Cunningham, second places goes to Haley Whitehead, and 1st place for short story goes to Haley Hays! Attention rising seniors! There will be a Homecoming Dance Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 4th in the DNN studio. This is the first time we will be forming a Homecoming Dance Committee and your input is wanted and needed. Any member of the class of 2025 is welcome to attend. Attention those who are registered to take the June 1st SAT here at SDHS, please remember the following: (Show SAT Day Graphic) Doors open at 7:30 and testing will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00 AM. If you are late you will not be admitted to test. YOU MUST bring a VALID ID, if you do not have a license, a current school ID is fine. If you show up without an ID, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO TEST! You MUST bring your IPAD charged! Charging chords are limited. Your ID and testing ticket must match EXACTLY. If your name is misspelled or missing a hyphen or apostrophe you will not be permitted to test. Lastly, if your birthdate is incorrect, you will NOT be permitted to test.
