Attention Students who drive to school. Parking passes have arrived! If you have already turned in your application, please stop by the main office ASAP to pick up your parking pass. Remember that you MUST have a parking pass to park in the school parking lot.
Attention students working toward the Presidential Service Award this year: Please double check your tracking form to make sure it has the correct number of hours for each level. Bronze is 100 to 174 hours, Silver is 175 to 249 hours, and Gold is 250 plus hours. Forms for this year have gone out with incorrect information. Please see Mrs. Thompson in room A168 with any questions or to pick up a corrected form.
Juniors and Seniors! The U.M.E.S college fair will be on Thursday, October 3rd. We will depart from Decatur at 10:15 a.m. and return around 2:00 p.m. At the college fair there will be tons of college representatives present that you are able to speak with and gather information about their programs. We will eat lunch on the college campus. If you are interested in attending, please stop by guidance and grab a permission slip. It is due ASAP.
Juniors and Seniors! Gettysburg College and University of Maryland College Park will be in the guidance office for a visit on September 18th. Please sign up on school inks and come down to speak to the representative from the admissions office if interesting in learning more about either college.

For Sports:
Congratulations to both the girls and boys cross country teams who dominated on Mount Decatur at yesterday’s meet against Pocomoke, Parkside, Bennett, Crisfield, and Washington.
The girls team scored a near perfect score of 19 points with 7 of the top 8 finishers from the Decatur Varsity team including Amber Marshall, Avery Weber, Sophia James, Evie Eggers, Sage Hall, Eliza Myers, and Ally Fernandez. Amber Marshall came in first place setting the course record on the new 5K Decatur course with a time of 22:32.
The boys team also scored a near perfect score of 17 points with 8 of the top 11 boys finishing from the Decatur team including Braydon Bell, Trey Rill, Carter Steffy, Colin Penington, Ethan Rhode, Quinn Martin, Luke Leffew, and Jackson Hurst. Braydon Bell came in first place setting the new course record for the boys with a time of 19:02.
Way to go guys and girls. Best of luck to both teams as they prepare for the Rumble in the Jungle at Cambridge next Tuesday where they will see how they stack up against all of the Bayside teams.
