Lunch for today includes: Big Daddy’s Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza, Fish Sandwich, Seasoned Potato Wedges, Steamed Green Beans, Mixed Fruit, Fresh Fruit, and Milk.
Students and Staff, the “green room” will be set up in the media center for “Talks with Tyler.” Students can use their iPads or phones to video record a message we will string together to send to Tyler. We know he can hear us. Let him know you are thinking of him with this personal message.
Cap and Gown Announcement! Jostens Representatives will be at school on Wednesday, September 25th during lunches to take cap and gown and class ring orders. Seniors, please remember to bring your cap and gown order form to school that day, completed with your height and weight. Cap and gown only orders may be placed with no deposit. For all other graduation orders, a $75 deposit is required and for class ring orders a $100 deposit is required. Information packets with complete ordering instructions may be picked up in the school office if you have not received one. Orders can also be placed online at Jostens.com.
Attention Seniors: This is just a friendly reminder that the Maryland Page application is due to Mrs. Berquist by 3:00 PM TODAY! Packets are available on the bulletin board outside of the CRT Office. For questions, message or see Mrs. Berquist.
Rho Kappa History Honor Society is accepting applications for new members. In order to be eligible, you must have successfully completed an AP Social Studies Course and have a 3.5 GPA. If you are interested in applying, see Ms. Hathaway in A269 for an application. All applications are due TODAY by 3:00 pm.
The Academic Team will have its first meeting of the year on Monday, September 23 in Señora Sawyer’s room, which is room A120, directly after school, until 4:00 pm. New members are welcome.
There will be a Prayer at the pole on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:20 am, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This is the flag pole in front of the school. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD, will hold their first meeting on Thursday, September 26th at 2:40 in room A126. Anyone interested in joining SADD this year is welcome to come. See Señora Cassino with any questions.
Students! Distribution of the 2024 Seahawk yearbook will take place next Thursday, September 26th during all lunch shifts. Distribution is only for those students who have pre-purchased a yearbook. We will open sales for the limited supply of extra copies beginning on Monday, September 30th. Copies will be sold at a first come, first serve basis. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
For Sports:
A great game for the JV Boys Soccer team yesterday. They won 3 to 0 against a traveling North Caroline team! Goals scored by Wyatt Scrimgeour and Aidan Buchheit and a 3rd shut out of the season by the defense! Way to go Hawks!
Congratulations to the whole Varsity Golf team on win number 6 at Eagles Landing with a season low team score of 150 one shot off the school record. We were led by medalist Sam Boger’s 1 under par 35, Jasper Davis’ even par 35, Clayton McCabe’s 39, and Colin Dang’s 40!!
