The Academic Team will have its first meeting of the year directly after school TODAY in Señora Sawyer’s room, which is room A120. We will meet until 4:00 pm. New members are welcome.
Cap and Gown Announcement! Jostens Representatives will be at school on Wednesday, September 25th during lunches to take cap and gown and class ring orders. Seniors, please remember to bring your cap and gown order form to school that day, completed with your height and weight. Cap and gown only orders may be placed with no deposit. For all other graduation orders, a $75 deposit is required and for class ring orders a $100 deposit is required. Information packets with complete ordering instructions may be picked up in the school office if you have not received one. Orders can also be placed online at Jostens.com.
There will be a Prayer at the pole on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:20 am, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This is the flag pole in front of the school. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD, will hold their first meeting on Thursday, September 26th at 2:40 in room A126. Anyone interested in joining SADD this year is welcome to come. See Señora Cassino with any questions.
Students! Distribution of the 2024 Seahawk yearbook will take place on Thursday, September 26th during all lunch shifts. Distribution is only for those students who have pre-purchased a yearbook. We will open sales for the limited supply of extra copies beginning on Monday, September 30th. Copies will be sold at a first come, first serve basis. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
Homecoming Week and all its fun evening events are right around the corner! Kicking off Homecoming Week on Monday is Smish Smosh, the annual lip sync competition, talent show, and game night! Teams from the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes will be representing their grades, engaging in exhibitions of talent, relay racing, and yes, lip-synching. This year’s lip-synch theme? Y2K- Remixed! That means billboard hits from the 2000s remixed for the club! Tickets are $5. Come on out Monday, October 7th at 6:00 pm to the Auditorium for a little Smish Smosh, and let’s get this Homecoming party started!
For any questions about participating in Smish Smosh as a talent act, or lip synch group, and for rules and technical issues, please speak to Mr. Cater in the Black Box, room B1020. Sign up sheets will be posted on his doors.
For Sports:
There will be an open gym for basketball today and Tuesday. The open gym will start at 5:30 and runs until 7:00 pm. You must leave the school and return 10 minutes before Open Gym. All are welcome and the fee is $2.00.
