All underclassmen and staff, this is a friendly reminder that Lifetouch will be back in school on Monday, November 25th for pictures retakes. If you missed underclass picture day or did not like the photo that was taken, retakes will happen on November 25th.
Attention Seniors: If you would like to be considered for On-Site Admissions with Salisbury University on November 15th, you must physically come into the guidance office and sign up on the list! Time slots are limited so we will go down the list of sign ups and take names in order. You must have at least a 2.8 GPA and have applied to S.U. no later than November 8th. Remember to be considered, you MUST come into the guidance office and sign up!
Seniors! We are aware that both senior portrait make-up days are currently fully booked. We are working on adding additional sessions or even an additional day to make sure all seniors are able to be photographed at school. Once we hear from Lifetouch, we will share information with you regarding make-ups. See Mr. Thompson with additional questions.

Decatur Nation! In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Stephen Decatur’s Rho Kappa Honor Society has put together a fundraiser. All donations will be given to the American Red Cross Organization, which is directly helping communities impacted. If you would like to contribute, please give cash or a check, made out to Stephen Decatur High School, to Mrs. Hathaway in room A269 this week.

Come to our FINAL Preparation Work Day in Mrs. Terlizzi’s room, B1072B TODAY from 2:50 until 4:00. You must provide your own transportation home. It is Red Ribbon Week, so teachers, please take a moment or two to discuss these questions with you class. Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD is sponsoring a two question discussion for each day. Each day, two new questions will be asked. For today, discuss the following… what are some physical signs of addiction, and How does someone become addicted to drugs?
For Sports:
We are less than 3 weeks away from the start of winter sports. If you are interested in trying out for Boys’ Or Girls’ Basketball, please see Coach Johnson in room C164 to pick up important information regarding tryouts. You must sign up on Family ID and have an updated physical before you can try out.
There will be an open gym for basketball today. The open gym will start at 5:30 and runs until 7:00 pm. You must leave the school and return 10 minutes before Open Gym. All are welcome and the fee is $2.00.
