Decatur Nation! Today we have three college representative visits. UMBC will be at 8:30, Washington College is at 9:30, and Goucher College is at 1:15. All meetings are in the guidance office. Interested juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend.
Attention Seniors: If you would like to be considered for On-Site Admissions with Salisbury University on November 15th, you must physically come into the guidance office and sign up on the list! Time slots are limited so we will go down the list of sign ups and take names in order. You must have at least a 2.8 GPA and have applied to S.U. no later than November 8th. Remember to be considered, you MUST come into the guidance office and sign up!
Seniors! Lifetouch has opened additional senior portrait sessions for November 14th. Seniors who missed can now schedule an appointment time for the 14th. You can schedule via the Prestige Portraits website, or call the Customer Service appointment line at 1-855-918-2930. Remember, all yearbook photos must be taken through Prestige Portraits. In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Stephen Decatur’s Rho Kappa Honor Society has put together a fundraiser. All donations will be given to the American Red Cross Organization, which is directly helping communities impacted. If you would like to contribute, please give cash or a check, made out to Stephen Decatur High School, to Mrs. Hathaway in room A269 this week.

Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD is sponsoring a two question discussion for each day. For today, discuss the following… Do different drugs have different affects on people? For Sports:
There will be an open gym for basketball today. The open gym will start at 5:30 and runs until 7:00 pm. You must leave the school and return 10 minutes before Open Gym. All are welcome and the fee is $2.00.
We are less than 3 weeks away from the start of winter sports. If you are interested in trying out for Boys’ Or Girls’ Basketball, please see Coach Johnson in room C164 to pick up important information regarding tryouts. You must sign up on Family ID and have an updated physical before you can try out.
