Seniors! If you would like to be considered for On-Site Admissions with Salisbury University on November 15th, you must physically come into the guidance office and sign up on the list! Time slots are limited so we will take students at a first come, first serve basis. You must have at least a 2.8 GPA and have applied to S.U. no later than November 8th. Remember to be considered, you MUST come into the guidance office and sign up!
Lifetouch has opened additional senior portrait sessions for November 14th. Seniors who missed can now schedule an appointment time for the 14th. In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Stephen Decatur’s Rho Kappa Honor Society has put together a fundraiser. All donations will be given to the American Red Cross Organization, which is directly helping communities impacted. If you would like to contribute, please give cash or a check, made out to Stephen Decatur High School, to Mrs. Hathaway in room A269 this week.

Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD is sponsoring a two question discussion for each day. For today, discuss the following… How can you help support those around you who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and what are the negative effects of alcohol consumption?

We are less than 3 weeks away from the start of winter sports. If you are interested in trying out for Boys’ Or Girls’ Basketball, please see Coach Johnson in room C164 to pick up important information regarding tryouts. You must sign up on Family ID and have an updated physical before you can try out.
Congratulations to the girls cross country team who placed 6th in the 3A East regional meet and earned themselves a ticket to the Maryland 3A State meet. The team was led by senior Evie Eggers placing 14th overall with a PR time of 20:36 followed 3 seconds later by senior Amber Marshall in 15th place. Also scoring for the team were Avery Weber, Sophia James, and Cailyn Haller followed by pushers Eliza Myers and Allessandra Fernandez. This is the first time the girls cross country team has qualified for the state meet in 10 years so this team has a lot to celebrate. Great job ladies and best of luck next Saturday on the Bull Run course.
Joining the girls at the Maryland 3A State meet will be junior Bryadon Bell who qualified as an individual runner by placing 19th in the 3A East regional meet. Braydon ran a personal best time of 17:05 making him the fastest junior on record for Decatur for the 5K distance. Congratulations Braydon and best of luck to you on Saturday as you take on the Bull Run course.
