As we return to school from break, it is important to review our Standard Response Protocol we have in place. Remember the terms: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. Each one provides us with the standard response used to ensure the safety for us all.
Students! Friendly reminder that Final exams will take place January 23 for periods 1 and 2 and January 24 for periods 4 and 5. Attendance for final exams IS MANDATORY. Failure to appear will result in a 0 for the exam. If a student cannot attend one or both final exam days, they must see their grade level administrator before that week!
The Winter Session of the After School Academy begins next Tuesday, January 7th! Remember, there are a limited number of programs being offered this year and you must sign up to participate. Sign-ups for the winter session are NOW OPEN!
There might be some exciting news developing with regards to The Hawk Newspaper, Decatur’s student run newspaper since 1954! Anyone interested in weighing in on the revamp of Decatur’s student press is invited and urged to join Newspaper after school on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s beginning next week.
