Decatur Nation! Neurodiversity Week will be celebrated next week with a special Spirit Week! Neurodiversity week is a global movement that promotes understanding and acceptance of neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. By participating, we can foster an inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
Next week you are encouraged to participate in themed spirit days to recognize and celebrate the neurodiverse community. Monday will be Passion and Interest Day! Wear a shirt or outfit that represents a personal special interest or hobby- from gaming to music to dinosaurs.
Semester 2 iPad Inventory is being extended, and the form now closes TODAY at 3:00 pm. Students need to submit a photo of the Crayon, Charging Cord and Charging Brick. There will be no more extensions and submissions will not be accepted after 3:00.
If you haven’t submitted your inventory form, please login to Schoology, find the most recent post from Mrs. Gallagher under Recent Activity, and fill out the form listed ASAP.
I.T. is not handing out anymore labels at this time. Please take a picture of what you have and submit that to the form. Failure to do so will result in being added to the debt list for all iPad accessories.
If you have not picked up your scheduling form for next school year, please make sure you stop by to get it. You must pick up the form from guidance. The deadline to enter your course selections is March 28th. If you have questions please see your counselor.
Attention students who plan to take Dual Enrollment classes online or on a college campus next school year, the dual enrollment packets are now ready in guidance. Please stop by to pick up a packet, but you must sign for the packet and listen to new information. Get the packet soon, fill it out, and return so you can start the process of choosing classes.
Decatur Theatre would like to invite you to this year’s March Production, Having Tea With Chekhov: 5 Comic Farces by Anton Chekhov, adapted for the stage by Gwen Lehman. Performances will be Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 21st at 7:00 pm, as well as Saturday March 22nd at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the SDHS Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door or online at decaturtheatre.com. If there are any questions about tickets, touch base with Mr. Cater in the Black Box Theatre. We look forward to seeing you there!
