Decatur Nation! It’s Neurodiversity Week! Neurodiversity week is a global movement that promotes understanding and acceptance of neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. By participating, we can foster an inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and empowered.

Are you dressed in an outfit that represents a personal special interest or hobby today? If not, you still have four more spirit days to dress for. In honor of Neurodiversity Spirit Week, TOMORROW is Sensory Friendly Day: so its time to wear soft, comfy clothes, like pajamas or sweats!

Attention students who plan to take Dual Enrollment classes online or on a college campus next school year, the dual enrollment packets are now ready in guidance. Please stop by to pick up a packet, but you must sign for the packet and listen to new information. Get the packet soon, fill it out, and return so you can start the process of choosing classes.

Attention Spanish Honor Society members: please check your Schoology updates. You must join the Remind group, return your signed contracts to Señora Sawyer ASAP and finish your service hours this semester to remain an active member and receive your graduation cords.

There will be a Fellowship of Christian athletes meeting at 7:15 this Thursday and every Thursday until spring break. We will meet in room D-151, Mr. Drahiem’s room. See Mrs. Fenzel-Mergott or Mr. Leitner if you have any questions. All are welcome, teachers included!

Decatur Theatre would like to invite you to this year’s March Production, Having Tea With Chekhov: 5 Comic Farces by Anton Chekhov, adapted for the stage by Gwen Lehman. Performances will be Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 21st at 7:00 pm, as well as Saturday March 22nd at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the SDHS Auditorium.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door or online at decaturtheatre.com. If there are any questions about tickets, touch base with Mr. Cater in the Black Box Theatre. We look forward to seeing you there!
