You must physically come into the guidance office to sign up to meet with the registration team. This will save you the time of driving to Wor-Wic for the registration process. Do you love to eat? Would you like to support the Marching Seahawk band in their Joe Corbi’s Fundraiser to help raise money for the instrumental program? The Joe Corbi’s fundraiser is an online site where you are able to order all types of foods such as pizza, calzones, cookies, cinnamon rolls, soft pretzels, and more! If you see any band, jazz, orchestra, or color guard students walking the hallways please ask them about the Joe Corbi’s Fundraiser. The Hawk Newspaper will meet after school TODAY in the DNN Studio. We are always looking for more writers, photographers, and content creators! If you are interested in joining, come by DNN after school, and sign up through the QR code on the flyers around school.
Hey Creative Writers! The National English Honor Society is still collecting submissions for the 12th Annual Peggy Hevel Memorial Writing Contest! First place winners in both the Short Story AND Poetry categories will each win one hundred dollars! Submissions MUST have a contest cover sheet and are to be turned in to Mrs. Terlizzi by 3:00 pm on April 16th. Contest cover sheets can be picked up from the media center or any English teacher. See Mrs. Terlizzi or Mr. Thompson with any questions.
There will be a Fellowship of Christian athletes meeting at 7:15 this Thursday and every Thursday until spring break. We will meet in room D-151, Mr. Drahiem’s room. See Mrs. Fenzel-Mergott or Mr. Leitner if you have any questions. All are welcome!
For Sports:
The Maryland High School Rodeo Team competed in the Rocky Oak Showdown in Virginia over the weekend. The girls competed in pole bending where Jayden Garton placed 8th with a time of 26.627 and Brooke Warren placed 4th with a time of 23.915. Brooke had her personal best time for goat tying with a time of 10.01 seconds, which put her in 3rd place. She also had an 8th place finish with a time of 11.03. Brooke placed 8th for the team in barrel racing
Also contributing to the team was Angelle Ayres. Their next performance will be at the Keystone Legacy in Pennsylvania.
Pack the stands and wear BLUE as the Girls Varsity Lacrosse team takes on Kent County in an Autism Awareness game on Wednesday at 4:00. All Unified athletes are welcome to join the lacrosse team on the field at 3:45 for starting line ups!
