Decatur Nation! This week is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week! Even though we all have difficulty with our mental health sometimes, it can be hard for people to talk about their mental health because they might feel embarrassed or ashamed, or they might worry that other people will think badly of them. This is called stigma. Stigma can make it harder to talk to someone when we are struggling with our mental health. However, it is important to talk to someone you trust so that you can get the help and support you deserve to feel your best! Remember that there are people you can talk to here at school if you are having a difficult time like your school counselor, school social worker, or a trusted teacher or coach.
