Attention All Students: It’s Election Season and Stephen Decatur High School is looking for a few good leaders! If you are interested in running for either a Class Office or a position in the Student Government Association, please be sure to pick up your application outside the main office or use the designated QR code to apply. All applications are due by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9th. Elections will be held in Homeroom on the morning of Friday, September 12. Best of luck to all candidates!
College representative visits begin this coming Thursday! UMD College Park will meet with interested Juniors and Seniors in the Cafeteria. Again, that’s University of Maryland College Park, this Tuesday, September 11th at 8:15 in the cafeteria.
National English Honor Society Members! We will hold our first meeting of the year after school from 2:50 until 3:50 next Monday, September 8th in Mr. Thompson’s room, F1. We will be discussing our upcoming Induction Ceremony as well as our annual Trunk or Treat event. Please notify your coaches that you will be late to practice due to our meeting. If you cannot make the meeting, fill out the book in Mr. Thompson’s room.

Decatur Nation! The Homecoming Dance Committee is looking for students who are interested in helping with dance set-up and decorating. We will meet next Wednesday, September 10th in Mr. Thompson’s room, F1, the DNN studio. We will be discussing theme options which seniors will vote for. Seniors, if you want a say in the dance theme this year, make sure you show up to this meeting! See Mr. Thompson with questions.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: If you are interested in the law, government, politics, or if you are passionate about an issue and how it impacts our society, then the Maryland Page Program might be for you! The Maryland Page Program gives seniors the opportunity to participate in the Maryland General Assembly for two non-consecutive weeks from January to April. Additionally, Pages receive a small stipend. Applications are available outside of the CRT Office. Applications are due by 3:00 pm on September 30th. See Mrs. Berquist in the CRT Office if you have further questions.
