Attention Juniors and Seniors! The University of Maryland College Park visit is now moved to 10:45 in the auditorium. Students that have morning tech should go to tech school. They can join the college visit in the auditorium when they return at 11.
Registration for the After School Academy fall session is now open. Students can register using the QR code posted on the “What’s Up Decatur?” bulletin boards or use the link found on Schoology or on the school website. Transportation will not be available for students who are not registered. So, be sure to check out all of the programs offered!

Calling all journalists, photographers, designers, and anyone else who wants to get involved this year! The Hawk Newspaper is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team! There will be a brief National Honor Society meeting on Monday, September 15 at 2:45 in the media center. All members must attend.
The Decatur Relay For Life Team is back this year! If you’re interested in living in a world without cancer, then consider joining our team! We will hold our first meeting on Monday, September 15th after school in Mr. Thompson’s room, F1, and will begin planning our upcoming Teen’s Only Pool Party in January. We hope to see you there!

Attention students! This year KAAAT (Kids Against Animal Abuse and Testing) will be having its first meeting on Wednesday, September 17th after school from 2:45 until 3:30. It will take place in Mr. Thompsons room F1, the DNN studio. All freshman are welcome to join and build their resume by helping our community. Congratultions to both the girls and boys cross country teams who won their first meet in City Park in Salisbury against Parkside, Bennett, Pocomoke, and Crisfield. Scoring for the girls were Lilly Norman finishing in first place with a time of 20:04 followed by Jessica Hernaez in 4th, Brooke Loring in 6th, Avery Weber in 7th, and Maizy Murphy in 8th.
Scoring for the boys were Carter Steffy in 3rd place with a time of 17:25 followed by Braydon Bell in 4th, Alex Pouchan in 5th, Ethan Rhode in 7th and Quinn Martin in 8th. What a way to start the season girls and guys. Best of luck to you next Wednesday at the Rumble in the Jungle against all 16 conference teams.
