Students: Homecoming out of school guest forms and debt slips are available in the main office. All students must complete a “I’m debtless” form to purchase tickets. Tickets are $15 ahead of time or $20 at the door. Guest forms must be submitted, along with a photo ID, by October 8th for all out-of-school guests. Tickets for the homecoming dance will go on sale October 6th through the 9th. Stay tuned for more details!
Decatur Nation! There’s a NEW Event for Homecoming Week Festivities! Be one of the competitors in the first Homecoming Spikeball tournament to support the Decatur Morgan’s Message Chapter! Register to play during lunch shifts TODAY through Thursday the 25th or scan the QR code on the poster located on the What’s Up Decatur Bulletin Boards around the school. You can submit team payment on your lunch shift or to Mrs. Owens or Mrs. Shirk. Don’t miss out – It’s going to be a “BALL”!
Juniors and Seniors! This week is a big week for College Representative Visits. TODAY McDaniel College will be here at 8:15 and Washington College at 9:40. On Wednesday Stevenson University will be here at 8:15, Drexel University at 9:40, and York College of Pennsylvania at 10:40. These meetings are in the Guidance Office Conference Room. Registration for the After School Academy fall session is open. Fall ASA begins TODAY so students need to register NOW using the QR code posted on the “What’s Up Decatur?” bulletin boards or by using the link found on Schoology or on the school website. Transportation will not be available for students who are not registered. So, be sure to check out all of the programs offered!
Calling all artists and creatives! The first Art Club meeting, part of the After School Academy, will take place TODAY in Mrs. Gonzo’s room, G6 beginning at 2:45. Come check it out and get creative!

The 2025 Seahawk yearbooks have arrived! Distribution of the 2025 yearbooks, for those who pre-ordered their copies, will take place TOMORROW, during all lunch shifts. If you did not pre-order a copy last year but are interested in purchasing one of our over-runs, please send Mr. Thompson a message or email. Overruns will be sold after distribution day. Please note, we will also be distributing School ID cards to current seniors.

Seniors! Appointment slots for Senior Portrait Retakes are NOW OPEN! Prestige Portraits will be at school on November 12th and 13th to capture senior portraits for yearbook and cap and gown photos as well. All yearbook portraits MUST be taken through Lifetouch for the yearbook, and you only have two days of retakes. If you miss these days, you will have to report to the Lifetouch Studio in Hanover, Maryland, so do not delay, schedule today through schedule.prestigeportraits.com. See Mr. Thompson with questions.

Attention all girl’s lacrosse players who are NOT playing a fall sport and are interested in earning service-learning hours. We will begin our annual Middle School Lacrosse Academy this Tuesday, September 23rd from 3:00 until 4:00 pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Coach Owens or Coach Bone.
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity soccer team on their dominant 7 to 2 victory over Snow Hill! Maddie Tapley led the charge with a hat trick, while Luca scored two goals, and Caitlyn Shimko and Samantha Ruppert each added one. Assists came from Laila Pascucci, Meera Pascucci, Ruppert, and Tapley.
Yesterday, the JV Field Hockey team lost to Cape Henlopen, 3 to 2. The Seahawks were led by Ellie Lefew and Clem Kohut on defense. Goals were scored by Lindsey Reed and Mykaylah Mysko.
Congratulations to the Boys Varsity soccer team on their road victory last night over snow hill 3 to 1. Leading the way was Elijah Isett with a goal and an assist. Collin Pennington and Gavin Geiser each added a goal for the Seahawks. Johan DeVito and Adrian Jasinski confined for 7 saves on the night. With the win the boys remain undefeated at 5 to 0. Come out tomorrow night to Louis H. Taylor Stadium to watch the boys take on WiHi. JV is at 4 and varsity will kickoff around 530. See you there!
