Decatur Nation! Picture day is HERE! Lifetouch is at school TODAY to capture all freshmen, sophomore, junior, and faculty photos for the yearbook and for student IDs. Students will be called down by grade and last name beginning right after these announcements.

Do you like to eat? Then please come out to eat at Los Agaves Restaurant across from the outlets in West Ocean City to support the Spanish Honor Society on Thursday evening between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support a local family for the holidays.
Attention Grades 9 through 11: SDHS is now accepting applications for the Carson Scholarship Program. The Carson Scholarship Program is a service-based scholarship program founded by renowned neurosurgeon, Ben Carson. Students must have earned a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.75 in order to qualify. Only one student from SDHS can be nominated to officially apply. School-based applications are located outside of the CRT Office (also attached), and they are due by 3PM on Friday, October 21st. Hey Decatur! The Hawk Newspaper wants to hear from you! What musical artist would you like to see at Boardwalk Rock, Oceans Calling, and Country Calling next year! The results will be published in the next issue of The Hawk Newsletter, so scan the QR code posted around school, and currently on your screen to vote! Voting closes on October 29th!
Any student who wishes to self-study for an AP exam must see Mrs. Wells in the CRT office by this Friday, October 24th.
There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting this Thursday at 7:15 in room C-15. All are welcome!
The SDHS Key Club will be hosting our first Blood Drive of the year this Friday, October 24. Please see Mrs. Saullo or Ms. Kalchthaler to sign up to donate blood. You are able to donate blood at 16 with a signed parent permission slip.
Need service hours? Then come down to Mr. Thompson’s room, F-1, to sign-up to help NEHS prepare for the 4th Annual Indoor Trunk or Treat Event. Members are staying after school today and tomorrow, as well as next Monday and Tuesday to work on decorations. You can also sign-up to help during Trunk or Treat on October 29th from 3:30 until 9:00. Sign ups are outside the DNN studio! See Mr. Thompson with questions.
