SADD is holding a Warm Wishes Drive to benefit members of the Atlantic Club in West Ocean City. Drop off your travel or small sized toiletry items in the labelled box located in the school counseling office between now and February 13th. Please make sure items are new and in original packaging.
For Sports:
A big Decatur congratulations goes out to the boys and girls track team that competed at the Maryland 3A East regional meet yesterday at the PG County sports complex. Scoring for the girls team were Lotus Wise winning 1st place and advancing to states in the 500m run with a PR time of 1:19. Also qualifying for the state meet is Amaya Johnson in the high jump with a PR jump of 5ft and a 3rd place finish. Lily Norman scored with a 6th place finish in both the 1600m and the 3200m runs. Way to go ladies!!
Scoring for the boys with a 5th place finish in the 4×800 relay were Xander Wakefield, Ethan Rhode, Collin Pennington and Carter Steffy with a PR time of 8:37. The team is hoping their time with be one of the top 12 in the state to advance them to the state meet. Carter Steffy also scored with a 6th place finish in the 1600 m run.
Congratulations again and best of luck to the state qualifiers who will complete at the 3A State Championships meet in 2 weeks.
