Seniors! It is scholarships crunch time! Maryland Farm Bureau, Calvin B. Taylor Memorial, and Delmarva Chicken Association are due on Friday. Next week is the big deadline; Community Foundation Scholarships and many others are due on Wednesday, April 1. Don’t wait until the last minute! Stop by Guidance if you need help.
Attention Juniors and Seniors….would you like to be entered into a drawing to win FREE…yes, FREE prom tickets?? All you have to do is have PERFECT attendance through the entire month of April. That means NO absences, NO tardies, NO late arrivals, NO early departures… bring your smiling face to school every day, ON TIME, and stay the ENTIRE school day. The ONLY, yes ONLY excused code will be the school function code (field trip, game, school event). This is a 50 dollar value minimum! Attention all students: Registration for the spring session of the After School Academy is now open. Please note that there are new and returning programs. The National English Honor Society is holding our annual Membership Drive until April 1st, which is less than a week away, no foolin’! If interested in applying for the English Honor Society, see any English teacher, the Media Center, or Mr. Thompson for an application.
Decatur Theatre would like to invite you to this year’s March Production, Clue, adapted from the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, and written by Sandy Rustin. Performances will be at 7:00 TONIGHT and TOMORROW NIGHT, and Saturday March 28th at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the SDHS Auditorium. Evening tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, with tickets for the matinee at $10 and $5! Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at decaturtheatre.com. If there are any questions about tickets, touch base with Mr. Cater in the Black Box Theatre. We look forward to seeing you there!
Decatur Nation! Did you know that an estimated 600 million pairs of shoes wind up in America’s landfills every year. Recycling and reusing sneakers keep sneakers out of landfills, reduces the need for manufacturing new shoes and sneakers, and supports a growing economy. You can help by participating in our Used Sneaker Drive benefiting the Grace Center for Maternal and Women’s Health. A collection bin is located in the main office. If you have old sneakers/tennis shoes, please consider bringing them in for recycling.
