Attention students: There are still quite a few students who have not picked up your WeXL invitations. Please stop by guidance to pick them up. Even if you plan not to attend, at least please stop by to pick up your invitation. One way or the other, we will still make sure you are handed the invitation. Please help us and come get your invitation. Check the posted list to look for your name. For those of you who plan to attend, return the RSVP card and any money to the guidance office ASAP. Any student who would like to take a dual enrollment course next year and have NOT attended a Dual Enrollment meeting, you have 2 more chances. The last and final time to get information and to register for Dual Enrollment courses for the next school year will be on Tuesday, April 21st. We will have a 2nd period meeting and 5th period meeting. These are the last two opportunities to sign up for Dual enrollment courses for the entire 2026-2027 school year.
Last evening, Stephen Decatur inducted Sixty-six students into the National Honor Society. These students showcased excellence based on the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Congratulations to our newest inductees!
Last Thursday, Worcester Technical High School inducted eighty Decatur students into the National Technical Honor Society. Students who are eligible for membership exhibit the best qualities of leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and service in their career and technical fields of study. These eighty students are part of the following unique and challenging programs: biomedical engineering, criminal justice, automotive technology, hospitality, baking & pastry arts, pre-engineering, agricultural sciences, carpentry, interactive media & design, welding, nursing, early childhood and teacher academy, cosmetology, and computer science. Congratulations to all our of the new NTHS Seahawks!
Club America will hold a meeting TOMORROW, April 15th, after school in Mr. Hinkle’s room, D-5 beginning at 2:45. All are welcome.

Calling all creative writers! The National English Honor Society is sponsoring the 13th Annual Peggy Hevel Memorial Writing Contest from now until Tuesday, April 21st. Once again this year, we have two categories, short story and poetry. The top three winners in each category will win money, yes money! Pick up a submission form from any English Teacher, the Media Center, or Mr. Thompson. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
