Happy Earth Week Decatur! Today is No-Can-Do! Here’s some things you may not have known about recycling cans: Aluminum cans can be recycled infinitely without losing quality. Producing cans from recycled aluminum uses 95% less energy than using virgin materials. Twenty recycled cans can be made with the same energy it takes to make one new can from virgin materials. Make it your goal to recycle at least 1 can today!
Students: If you filled out the iPad accessory label form to get new labels, your labels are ready in the Tech Office. Please bring your crayon or charger with you to the Tech room when you come to pick up your labels. THIS Friday, April 24th will be the LAST day to pick them up and you will need all labels for Prom Debt Slips, so pick up ASAP.
Educators Rising members, this is a friendly reminder of our meeting after school TODAY in Mrs. Stevenson’s room, C-3. The meeting won’t be too long, so please make sure you are in attendance if you can.
Seniors! It’s that time of year for DNN to begin collecting senior quotes for the yearbook and baby/toddler photos for the graduation pre-show video. You ALL have been enrolled in the DNN Senior News Course and information has been shared with you all.
Each photographed student is permitted a senior quote which will appear beneath your portrait in the yearbook. Quotes MUST be submitted using the QR code or url link on the flyers. NO quotes will be accepted via schoology or personal email. The form will close on Friday, May 15th at 3:00 pm, so don’t miss the submission window!
Each student is permitted to submit ONE baby/Toddler photo for the video. Photos should be emailed to [email protected] and please make sure you include the students’ first AND last name in the subject line. If we don’t know who’s photo it is, we will not include it in the video. Hard copies of photos can be brought to the DNN Studio, room F-1 to be scanned and returned. All photos MUST be emailed or handed in by 3:00 pm on Friday, May 15th. If you have any questions before May 15th, please see Mr. Thompson.
