This week is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week! What is mental health? Mental health has to do with how you think, feel, and act. Mental health includes how well you take care of yourself, the quality of your relationships with other people, and how well you handle difficult situations, stress, and problems. Mental health is something everyone has, and it is important to check-in on our mental health regularly, just like we check-in on our physical health. Focus on finding a trusted adult here at school that you can talk to.

Educators Rising is excited to announce a school-wide book drive to support local elementary schools. We are collecting new or gently used, elementary-level books to help build classroom libraries and encourage young readers. Donation boxes will be available in the cafeteria and the library during this week. Please consider donating any children’s books you no longer need to help make a difference in a young student’s education. Thank you for supporting this important cause!

Seniors, don’t forget to pay your senior dues of twenty dollars to the front office. All debts, including Senior Dues, must be paid prior to graduation! Remember Prom tickets cannot be purchased unless all debt has been paid.
Planning to attend Prom 2026? (P1 GRAPHIC) Prom will be held Saturday, May 16th at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City from 6:00 till 10:30. Tickets are $50 each, cash or check. Before you can buy a prom ticket, you’ll need to complete a Debt Sign Off Form, which are located in the Media Center and the Main Office. (P2 Graphic) You must be debt free from the Main Office, Media Center, and the I.T. Department. All students must bring their SDHS labeled charger AND crayon to the Tech office when getting signed off for I.T. debt.
After you get the Sign Off Form completed DON’T lose it before you go to purchase your ticket. No form. No ticket sale. No exception. There is a mandatory information gathering survey accessed through a QR code in the Debt Sign Off, that must be completed PRIOR to ticket sale. (DROP P2 GRAPHIC) All students that attend SDHS MUST have a Debt Sign Off regardless of grade. If your date is not an SDHS student, they must have an Out of School guest form APPROVED prior to ticket sale. These forms can be found in the Main Office. The turnaround time for approval is typically 2 to 3 school days, so plan accordingly.
(P3 GRAPHIC) All ticket sales will take place in the Square. Ticket sales take place from 7:30 till 8:00 a.m. and from 2:30 till 3:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week. Next week, tickets will be sold Monday through Thursday, at the same time periods and location. See the graphic for sale dates and see Mr. Greenwood in H-8 with questions.
