Today Celebrates: Go For a Ride Day!

Lunch for today includes: Big Daddy Pizza, Chili Hot Dog, Baked Hash Brown Rounds, Steamed Peas, Chilled Strawberry Cups, and Milk.

Ocean City hotel owners are challenging the resort town’s pet policy. The current policy only allows pets on the boardwalk between Oct. 1 and April 30, and some hotel owners believe the town should add more time for pets. It is an idea that not only business owners are hoping will come to fruition, but pet lovers as well. The Ocean City Hotel Motel Restaurant Association will next ask the mayor and council to consider their proposal.

Get ready to hear those bells ringing! The Salvation Army of the Lower Eastern Shore, hosted their annual Red Kettle Campaign to kick off the season of giving back. The Salvation Army has been serving the Lower Eastern Shore for 105 years, since 1913 and they are excited to continue to help families in need and kick off for the 2019 season.

Attention Connections members and Service Learning students. Connections’ annual Pajama Drive, collecting new children’s pajamas for the families of Diakonia for the holidays will take place from now until December 6. For every pair of Pajamas donated, a scholastic book will also be given to a child. Please drop off any Pajamas in Mrs. Chetelat’s room, A175.

Decatur is proudly participating in the Crayola ColorCycle recycling program. Bring in any old markers of any brand, highlighters, dry erase markers and more, then drop them in the recycle bin in the main office. Program runs until December 18. Again, recycle all plastic markers in the main office until December 18th.

The Creative Writing Cafe will NOT meet again until December 12th, due to Thanksgiving and the Berlin Christmas Parade. Again, the Creative Writing Cafe will meet again in three weeks, on December 12th. Please see Mr. Thompson with any questions.

Atlantic Athlete Outreach will be having a bake sale after school TODAY, November 22. Everything will be one dollar, so come out and fill up!
