Lunch for today includes: Chicken Tenders with Roll, Rotini with Meat Sauce and Garlic Toast, Steamed Corn, Steamed Mixed Vegetables, Apple Sauce, and Milk.

Teachers and students don’t forget to sign up for the Black History Month event this Friday and next Wednesday. The list of speakers is available in your email and the Media Center. Support our community members as they speak and read poetry, share philosophical ideas, build connections through history, and more!

Interested in the medical field? Want to learn more about the different careers in medicine and how to get there? Then consider attending Math Club’s Medical Field speaking event on Thursday, February 9th! Guests include Dr. Gerard Gioia, who is the Division Chief of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Hospital and the Principal Investigator of many CDC-funded research studies on pediatric concussions. More information and a link to sign up can be found on Schoology. After-school transportation will be provided.

For Sports:

Attention all basketball fans. Wednesday night is a big basketball game for the Boys JV and Varsity. Please come out to support. It is a “Whiteout”, which means wear your white SDHS apparel. This game will probably sell out so get here early to cheer on the guys! We are also asking that you make posters to show SDHS spirit and pride. You can even make a poster of your favorite player! Let’s pack the Hawks Nest to help cheer on our teams! Go Seahawks!

Congrats to the JV Girls basketball team on their 11th win of the season over WIHI by the score of 29-26 the team was led by Brooke Berquist 8 points and Maddy Donoway 6 points.
