JV started the night with a 3 to zero shutout. Scoring for the Seahawks were Gio Gregg, Zander Wakefield and Omar Almashni. Zane Devito and Anthony Ziman combined for the shutout in the goal. The win pushes JV to 5 and 1 on the season.

The Varsity Boys followed up with a 5 to 1 win to close out the night in Denton. David Janney lead the way with 2 goals. Sean O’Halloran, Gannon Eastlack and Brogan Eastlack all added a goal each. Congratulations to the golf team on their 10th win of the season with a team score of 156. We were led by medalist Evan Oglesby’s 2 under par 34, with Kole Kohut 39 Jasper Davis 40 and Clayton McCabe 43, next up is the District Tournament.

Yesterday the Girls Varsity soccer team won 5 to 0 against Easton. Goals were scored by Katelynn King, Luca Russo, Laila Pascucci and 2 goals were scored by Caitlin Shimko. Katelynn King, Laila Pascucci and Kayla Rocco all had an assist. Congratulations to the entire team for a great win.

Decatur volleyball had a long, hard fight against Snow Hill last night. JV pulled out the win 2 to 1, with freshmen Lila Gunther and Hayden Esworthy having exceptional games. Next up, Varsity came out strong winning the first game 25 to 22. After losing the next two nail biting games, they battled back to win the fourth game. As the whole gym sat on the edge of their seats, the Seahawks and Eagles traded points back and forth, with the Eagles just barely taking the win 15 to 12. It was a tough loss but what an amazing game for our Seahawks. The leaders of the game were Brooke Berquist with a perfect serving game and beautiful sets, Zoe Hinkle who defended the net and did an amazing job stepping up in the back row, and Ronin Brooks with some of the best coverage of the night. Great job, ladies. Next up, Parkside on Thursday.
