The Future Educators of American Club would like to wish all the teachers and staff a happy American Education Week by sending a few shout outs today! Please visit the link on Schoology to share your shoutouts each day this week.

What can I say about Mrs. Ridout? She is FABULOUS. I’ve never had a teacher care so much about me and push me to do my best. Thank you, Mrs. Ridout for believing in me when even I didn’t.

Mrs. Wells is like the SDHS cheerleader. She is always in a positive mood and helps me when I really need it. Just seeing her is enough to brighten my day!

Mr. Pylypczuk is pretty chill. I really like the way that he teaches. He keeps me engaged and makes me want to do better in his class. His class is my favorite this semester.

Mr. Foell is the best teacher in the galaxy. He creates a space in the building that is fun, safe, and motivating for so many. I look forward to seeing him every day. I really like being in his classroom. The band room is my favorite place to be at SDHS!

Mrs. Zervakos inspires me to be the best that I can be. You can tell that she really does care about each of her students. She makes the time to listen to me and I have become a better writer from her class. She goes above and beyond to make class meaningful and fun.

I would like to shout out Mrs. Sawyer. I don’t know what I would do without her these past years. I love being in her class and I know that she has my back. She doesn’t let me slack off and I really appreciate her for all that she does.

Mrs. Tignor you are the best librarian I have ever had. Thank you for creating a space for me where I can be myself and feel comfortable. I love coming to the library and I have read more books this year that I ever have in my entire live! You are such a great resource to the students at our school.

Mrs. Fenzel-Mergott. I would be lost without you. You make me want to be a better person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you Mrs. Smith for making science class interesting. I never really got into it before, but you bring class to life in a way that makes me want to learn more. I really like your class. You make a place that is fun for everyone while holding high expectations.

Stay tuned for more shout outs tomorrow! Thank you to all SDHS teachers for all you do each and every day.
