Today Celebrates: National Bird Day!

Lunch for today includes: Mickey’s Cheese Pizza, Cheeseburger, Tater Tots, Vegetarian Baked Beans, Diced Pears, Fresh Fruit, and Milk.

Students! The main office lost and found bin has many key chains, eyeglasses, portable chargers, and AirPods, including singles and empty cases. Please stop by to check if you’ve lost any of these items!

Registration for the winter session of the After School Academy is NOW open! Check out the flyers posted around school for a full list of programs offered and sign up using the QR code – OR through the school’s website. The Winter Sessions begin on January 8th. Get involved, become enriched!

The Decatur Film Society will begin meeting next Tuesday, January 9th in the DNN Studio. If interested in joining, make sure you sign up for the After School Academy, even if you were a member last session. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.

New year, new grade. Do you need or want a better grade on a paper that is due by the end of the semester? Sign up for a Seahawk Writing Center session before finals. Ask your teacher if they will give extra credit for attending. Each session is only 30 minutes. You owe it to yourself. Soar in ’24 at the Seahawk Writing Center!

Seniors! If you still have not gotten your senior portraits taken, time is running out! You need to sign up through Lifetouch to have a portrait session at their Salisbury Studio, and appointments MUST take place prior to February 1st, or your photo will NOT appear in the yearbook. Also, no senior portrait means no senior quote, so don’t delay, schedule TODAY!

For Sports:

Attention all girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring. We will be having an interest meeting after school from 2:50 until 3:15 on Monday, January 8th in room C181. Attendance is mandatory so please make arrangements to attend.

Congratulations to the Girl’s Varsity Basketball Team for its dominating 72 to 36 victory over Pocomoke last night. Leading the Seahawks with 17 points and 5 steals was freshman Maliyah Manuel. Allison Swift had 14 points, Sadie Kauffman was electric with 11 points 16 rebounds and 8 steals, Jozlyn Tyre added 10 points, Makenzee Purnell had 9 points and 11 rebs, while April Bondurant contributed another 7 points. The entire squad came together to play some great Decatur basketball. Great job, ladies!
