Cheerleading:

The team dedication for both Junior Varsity and Varsity was top notch. Throughout the fall season, they were front and center during football games, cheering on the team and pumping up the crowd. Yet, cheerleading is much most than just a supporting role on the sidelines.
For the fourth year, both Junior Varsity and Varsity travelled to compete in the Maryland Public Schools State Cheerleading Association (MPSSCA). Junior Varsity saw three competitions, including one at Parkville High School. After competing in Baltimore County, the Varsity team advanced to Regionals where they placed 9 out of 30 total teams, which advanced them to the state championship.
Cross Country:
Cross country had another amazing season. With the girls’ team coming in second place, and our boys taking first place and claiming the Bayside Championship! Numerous of our cross country athletes competed at states with senior Braydon Bell taking home the first cross country medal since 2004.

Field Hockey:
The Varsity girls started off the regular season with a commanding 6-1 win over Parkside High School. As the season continued, the team won the Bayside South Conference against Pocomoke High School in a 4-1 victory. Making this is the second year in a row that the field hockey team has won the Bayside South Conference in school history.

For the junior varsity girls, they had a hard-fought season, leaving it all out on the field each game.
Girls Soccer:
The girls’ soccer program sought gold from day one, ready to advance further than last year. Junior Varsity worked hard throughout the season to improve individual skills and form team bonds that would extend beyond the year. Varsity had an overall 11-3 record. One of the season standouts was when they defeated James M. Bennett High School for the first time in 15 years to clinch the Bayside South Conference. They then advanced to the Bayside Championship where they beat Queen Anne’s County in hard fought 1 to 0 game. In the Regional Semifinal, the girls played their hearts out against South River High School and took home the victory with a 3-2 overtime win.

Football:

The boys knew what they had on the line, coming from back-to-back state championship wins, the varsity team was ready for another dominating season on the field. Junior Varsity saw a dominating season that left them once again undefeated. Varsity started off the season with an upsetting loss to Wicomico High School 14-23. After that game, the boys rallied together to win the remaining games of the season and taking home the Bayside title marking this as their third straight consecutive Bayside championship win! Varsity ended the season with an overall record of 7-2.
Volleyball:
Our varsity team had an overall 9-7 record. The season was long and hard fought. The girls rallied for each game to leave it all out on the court. Players felt that the season was productive.

The junior variety team had a great season as well with an overall record of 10-3.
Boys Soccer:
The Junior Varsity team had an incredible season capped off with 4 wins! They played with passion and determination. Way to go boys! Varsity made school history this year when they brought the state championship back to the shore. [See full article on varsity entitled Ending the 23 year drought…]
