Juniors Lewis Takacs, Calen Shockley, and Lucas Kohut represented Decatur in the Maryland State Championships in golf. Making a strong impression, the Seahawks showcased their grit, resilience, and determination on the biggest greens of the year.
The trio had the opportunity to fulfill the greatest honor of all, representing the Decatur colors in the two-day state championship. Despite facing the toughest competition in the state, the Seahawk golfers did not disappoint. They held their own and proved to everyone they belonged. They put on a showcase, and all the vigorous work from the season made Decatur stand out. Takacs, Shockley, and Kohut’s efforts capped off an extraordinary season and sets the table for future success in the golf program.
